Wave Rhythm Section was formed in 2022 by bassist Sho Morita with the concept of "making Japan dance with energy.
The band features up-and-coming young musicians from various fields who have gathered together to interpret and reconstruct 70's and 80's funk, soul, and disco in a modern way, leaping over genre barriers to create a unique musical style that expresses rhythm just like a wave.
They have appeared as a hot artist at numerous live houses in Tokyo and other cities, sending audiences into a frenzy, and have been charted on radio and famous playlists, garnering support from a wide range of listeners.
